Olympia Companies has always taken pride in the Southern Highlands community. Most recently, the group invested in and installed its latest improvement – a traffic signal located on Robert Trent Jones and Southern Highlands Parkway. Now, residents will enjoy safer access into the master-planned community and the newly constructed Southern Highlands Storage Facility. This improvement comes one year after Olympia’s involvement with the ‘Change Lanes for Bikes’ initiative that was created to promote the safety of pedestrians and cyclists.

Olympia Companies has continued to work closely with County Commissioner Justin Jones and his team to create programs that look toward long-term sustainability of roads and education about roadway safety. “Traffic signals are a valuable tool for improving the safety and efficiency on the roadway, which was needed in the growing community of Southern Highlands,” said Commissioner Jones.

The nearly $400,000 investment from Olympia Companies enables all motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians to navigate the community safely and efficiently. “We take our ongoing commitment to the Community very seriously and are continually proud to offer our team’s expertise and time along with our financial resources towards ensuring that our residents have exceptional roadways,” said Chris Armstrong, Senior Vice President of Olympia Companies.

This is the fourth traffic signal that Olympia Companies has installed in Southern Highlands, and they are planning to move forward with a signal at the Valley View and Starr Lane intersection. To learn more about the Southern Highlands community, please visit SouthernHighlands.com.
