Welcome Fall! After what seemed like a never-ending series of 100-degree days, residents across the Valley were more than ready for fall—and no one welcomes the season better than Southern Highlands! The community celebrated its annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 20, presented by FOX5 and hosted by the Southern Highlands Community Association at Goett Family Park.
The popular family-friendly event delighted kids of all ages with costume and coloring contests, face painting, trick-or-treating, music, bounce houses, food, games, raffles and a vendor fair. Of course, a key highlight of the afternoon were the high-flying activities – featuring a rock wall, bungee trampolines, and the zipline!
While the Southern Highlands Fall Festival has become a favorite tradition for residents, it has also grown into a meaningful opportunity for community give-back. Though the festival itself is free to attend, all funds collected through the sale of food, beverage, raffle tickets and pumpkins go to benefit local nonprofit organizations. This year’s festival raised more than $13,000 to support Andson and the Boys and Girls Club of Southern Nevada.
