Lending a helping hand.
Since its inception, the Olympia Companies SH Charitable Foundation has helped many children, teens, and women in need in the Las Vegas community. Money raised over the years has sent critically ill children to summer camp, granted wishes, provided school supplies and clothing for children, created a vibrant art enrichment program, awarded higher education scholarships for disadvantaged students and financially assisted families of children diagnosed with cancer.
A variety of annual events, including the Governor’s Black-Tie Invitational, the Southern Highlands Fall Festival, the Southern Highlands Memorial Day BBQ and more have raised over $27 million for numerous charities and their beneficiaries.
Governor's Black-Tie Invitational
The Governor’s Black-Tie Invitational annual golf and social event, supported and endorsed by the Governor of Nevada, is dedicated to raising millions of dollars for numerous non-profit organizations supporting children, teens, and women in need throughout the Las Vegas community with 3 days of golf, giving and entertainment.
Fall Festival
The Fall Festival is a free autumn festival featuring a pumpkin patch, Kids’ Zone, carnival games, raffle prizes, crafts, vendor fair, costume contest, field games, trick-or-treating, food and drinks and more for the entire family. Proceeds benefit the Down Syndrome Organization of Southern Nevada.
Memorial Day BBQ
The Annual Memorial Day Celebration, hosted by Southern Highlands at Stonewater Park, brings out approximately 4,000 homeowners to play, enjoy good food and company and honor their country. There are an assortment of games, face painting, bounce houses, water slides, live entertainment, raffles, BBQ and a fabulous fireworks extravaganza with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Operation Warmheart – a program that collects money and food for Air Force families.
