Now’s your chance to Marie Kondo your life with the 2019 Southern Highlands Spring Community Yard Sale on Saturday, March 23rd, and Sunday, March 24th, from 7am-2pm each day.
On Sunday the 24th, bring what you don’t sell to the parking lot of the Corporate Center at 11411 Southern Highlands Parkway and donate it to a great cause, the Opportunity Village Thrift Store. Last year, Southern Highlands residents delivered more than 1,200 pounds of good-quality used furniture, housewares and clothing for the store, which serves the Southern Nevada community both as a retailer and as an employment training center for Opportunity Village clients. Founded in 1954, Opportunity Village is a local not-for-profit organization that assists adults with intellectual and related disabilities.
A complimentary mobile shredding station will be found at the Southern Highlands Corporate Center on Sunday as well, where you can dispose of sensitive materials while keeping your identity safe.
Residents from gated and un-gated communities throughout Southern Highlands will participate in this annual event. Who knows, while you unload your own unwanted items, you may uncover new treasures by shopping your neighbors’ wares.
